Who doesn't love a good Shepherd's Pie? It might be the perfect comfort food when you just want to settle down.

However, traditional Shepherd's Pie has so many ingredients that can throw you out of ketosis you would think it isn't possible to enjoy the same flavors but you can.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Dice all the peppers together. Add bacon to a large pot over medium heat. Cook through until crispy, removing bacon and keeping excess grease in the pot. Add diced peppers to pot and season with salt and pepper; cook, stirring, for 6-8 minutes or until soft.
  2. Increase heat and add the ground beef. Add the spices and cook the beef until browned. Stir in the tomato sauce and remove from the heat.
  3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Microwave the cauliflower and chicken broth for 5 minute. Stir in the rest of the ingredients for the fauxtatoes. Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir the 2 eggs into the meat mixture. Mix well then spread the mixture along the bottom of a 9x9 pan.
  5. Spread the cauliflower mixture on top of the meat mixture. Spread as evenly as possible.
  6. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes. The top should be nicely browned.
