A classic red velvet flavor made into a donut. It even has a great cream cheese frosting to top off the donut. These are too good to just have for breakfast. You could take them to friends for dessert and everyone would want the recipe.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a donut pan with cooking spray.
  2. in a large bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients. Make sure to break apart any clumps.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the butter and yogurt. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat until combined. Next add half the flour mixture and mix until combined. Add the almond milk continuing to mix until incorporated. Add in the rest of the flour and mix until fully combined. Stir in the food coloring mixing until the color is the same throughout.
  4. Spoon the batter into the donut wells. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Cool slightly in pan then remove to a cooling rack.
  5. Frosting: Cream together the butter and cream cheese. Add in the rest of the ingredients and beat until smooth. Spread the finished frosting on the cooled donuts.
