Ok so they aren't Krispy Kreme donuts but they are the next best thing. They are simple to make but take a little time. The glaze takes about an hour to thicken. Let it thicken or the donuts will be wet. The glaze is what gives them that Krispy Kreme taste.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray donut pan with cooking spray.
  2. Glaze: Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the swerve and stir. Continue to stir until swerve is melted. Add the heavy cream and vanilla. Stir over medium heat for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Whisk together the dry ingredients. Add in the cream cheese and mix. Add in the almond milk and vanilla and mix.
  4. Separate the eggs and whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold in the egg whites gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the donut wells. Fill the wells about 2/3 full. Bake for 14-16 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from oven and let cool in pan for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, remove from pan and place on a cooling rack.
  6. Glaze should be completely cooled and thickened. Dip the cooled donuts into the glaze and let the glaze dry on the donuts.
