If you haven't tried Carbquik, this is the time. This recipe calls for carbquik and there is no substitute for it. The recipe gives you 4 different flavors to try. All of the flavors start with the plain flavor. You will probably want to try them all.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Heat 1/2 cup coconut oil over medium high. Make sure it is hot enough by dropping a sprinkle of water in oil. If it dances in the oil it is ready.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
  3. Whip the egg whites, water and liquid stevia together.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture. Mix until the batter is smooth.
  5. Drop batter by spoonfuls into the hot oil. Cook for approximately 90 seconds on each side.(Be careful not to burn) Set aside on a cooling rack unless doing the cinnamon topping.
  6. Cinnamon Topping: Drop the donut holes into the cinnamon topping straight from the oil.
  7. Maple Bacon Donut: Cut bacon into 4-5 pieces. Fry in a frying pan until crispy. Add half the maple syrup to the pan and turn off the heat. Let sit for few minutes and let the syrup coat the bacon. Place the finished bacon on the donut holes. Drizzle with the rest of the syrup
  8. Double Chocolate Donuts: Make the plain donut holes but add 2 tablespoons cocoa powder and remove 1 tablespoon carbquik. Melt the chocolate and erythritol for 30 seconds in microwave. Stir and microwave 30 more seconds. Drizzle over the donut holes.
  9. Pumpkin PIe Donuts: Make the plain donut holes but add 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice. Mix together the pumpkin puree, cream cheese and liquid stevia. Squirt into the donut hole with a pastry bag.
