Pesto is a great flavor enhancer for zoodles, veggies or chicken. It is very versatile but almost always has parmesan cheese in it. This recipe leaves out the cheese and you won't miss it.

Instructions

  1. Place the basil, garlic, pecans, salt and pepper in a food processor.(Any nut can be used just make sure they are toasted.)Pulse until the ingredients are chopped well.
  2. Add olive oil to the processor and pulse until well combined. If you need to you can add in a little more oil to reach the desired consistency.
  3. Store the pesto in an airtight container in the fridge. The pesto can also be stored in the freezer.(I like to store it in individual servings.)
