A nice Philly cheesesteak can make my mouth water just thinking about it. Of course, bread is usually a part of this equation. Without the bread, is it still possible to enjoy a cheesesteak?

This recipe puts all the flavor of a cheesesteak into a bowl. To top it off it is so simple I could make it within 30 minutes. This is a recipe you will want to have in your arsenal.

Instructions

  1. Cut peppers and onions into large chunks and place in a bowl. Add the mushrooms and toss with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Spread veggies on cookie sheet and roast in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes. Veggies should be crisp and tender.
  3. While the veggies are roasting, brown the ground beef.
  4. Drain the fat from the skillet and add broth and worcestershire sauce to the beef. Simmer until liquid is absorbed. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Divide meat evenly into 4 bowls and top each with a slice of cheese. Place veggies on top of meat mixture and enjoy.
